A rare French cello bow made by Joseph Gaude ca. 1840. Joseph Gaude was working with E. Pajeot and in the style of the master. This is a very good example in a fine state of preservation. The bow is strong with some flexibility, excellent sound and handling, typical for wonderful French bows of the period. The length of the stick is 70.7 cm and the weight of the bow is 82 g.
