A very fine German cello bow made by Wilhelm Knopf ca. 1870. This is a superb example and excellent playing bow. The stick is golden brown pernambuco of superior choice and spectacularly beautiful figuration, round, strong and perfectly balanced. The frog and button are ebony with silver mountings. The bow is recommended for a fine musician, including a soloist. The stick is 69.2 cm long and the weight of the bow is 81 g.
