A very rare, German silver mounted violin bow with a tortoiseshell frog made by L. Bausch ca.1860, branded "BAUSCH" on the stick above the frog. This is an outstanding, very special example of a superior quality in every respect, including choice of exceptional materials and a finest workmanship. The bow is in immaculate, collectors quality state of preservation. The playability and sound are of a first rank, fulfilling appearance as a complete state of the art item. The length of the stick 72.5 cm and the weight of the bow with tinsel winding is 59.5 g.
