A superb English violin bow made by James Tubbs ca. 1865-1870 with an inspiration of a very elegant Tourte model. This is a wonderful example and excellent playing bow in a very good state of preservation. The stick is excellent medium brown permanbuco, the frog and button are ebony with gold mountings. This rare bow is highly recommended to a fine musician or a collector. The length of the stick is 72.7 cm and the weight of the bow is 59.5 g.
