A very fine English violin bow made by James Tubbs ca. 1860. This is a superb example and outstanding, solo level playing bow in excellent state of preservation. The stick is red brown permanbuco of superior quality and figuration, the frog and button are ebony with silver mountings. This rare, earlier example is highly recommended to a soloist or a collector. The length of the stick is 72.5 cm and the weight of the bow is 60 g.
