A very fine old French violin bow made by Charles Nicolas Bazin ca. 1880 on Tourte model, branded "TOURTE L". This is a very beautiful earlier example, also a superb sounding bow in excellent sate of preservation. The stick is dark brown pernambuco of superior choice and beautiful figuration, round, strong with a good balance, wonderful tone and very fine handling. The length of the stick is 73.2 cm and the weight of the bow is 59 g. Highly recommended as a fine and interesting example to a demanding musician or a collector.
