A superb English violin bow made by James Tubbs ca. 1880. This is a wonderful, one of the best sounding examples. The stick is red brown pernambuco of superior quality and spectacular figuration, the frog and button are ebony with silver mountings. This example is highly recommended to a very fine musician, including soloist. The length of the stick is 73 cm and the weight of the bow is 57 g with light and probably original whalebone wrapping.
