Origin: Germany.

A very fine German gold mounted violin bow by L. Bausch, ca.1865-1870, branded " L. BAUSCH LEIPZIG" on the stick under the frog. The stick is dark brown pernambuco, octagonal in shape. The frog and button are ebony with gold mountings. The length of the stick is 72.8 cm and the weight of the bow is 60 g. This is a fine sounding and handling bow in excellent state of preservation.
