Origin: Berlin, Germany.

A superb, rare German gold mounted violin bow by Heinrich Knopf in Berlin ca. 1870, branded " H.KNOPF BERLIN" on the stick. The stick is dark red brown pernambuco of superior choice, round in shape. The frog and button are ebony with gold mountings. The length of the stick is 72.8 cm and the weight of the bow is 53 g with very light and original tinsel/silk winding. This is a solo level concert bow in pristine state of preservation.
