A very fine Scottish violin made by Matthew Hardie in Edinburgh, 1815. This is a wonderful example from one of the best English makers who is regarded and referred to as Scottish Stradivari. This is particularly beautiful and elegant instrument made as a copy of the great Antonio Stradivari. The violin is in a very fine state of preservation with a superb golden orange varnish and original neck. the length of the back is 35.7 cm.
