A rare, superb French violin bow made by Georges Frederic Schwartz ca. 1815. This is a masterpiece from classical old French master probably made as a bench copy of F.X. Tourte example. The bow is all original in pristine state of preservation. The stick is dark red brown pernambuco of superior choice, octagonal. The frog and button are ebony with silver mountings. The length of the stick is 73.3 cm and the weight of the bow is 56 g with very light tinsel winding.This magnificent example is highly recommended to a soloist or a collector.
