A very fine French violin bow made by Francois Peccatte ca. 1850. F. Peccatte was important French master of the 19th century. This is a very nice example, also a fine sounding and handling bow. The stick is beautiful red brown amourette, round, strong with excellent flexibility. The frog and button are ebony with nickel-silver mountings. The weight of the bow with light tinsel winding is 59 g and the length of the stick is 72.3 cm.
