A very fine French violin bow made by Jean-Joseph Martin ca. 1860 for J.B. Vuillaume with an exception of a later button. J.J.Martin was one of the fine and important French bow makers second half of 19th century. The stick is red brown pernambuco of excellent choice and beautiful figuration, round, quite strong with a fine flexibility, excellent sound and handling. The frog is original, remounted in silver. The length of the stick is 72.8 cm and the weight is of the bow is 58 g.
