A very fine German certified violin bow made by Carl Henrich Knopf ca. 1870 for the Bausch firm, branded "L.BAUSCH". Carl Heinrich Knopf was one of the greatest German bow makers. He made wonderful bows for important shops of Bausch family and Nikolai Kittel. This is another nice example and excellent playing bow with some natural wear from playing. The stick is red brown pernambuco, round with a good balance and very beautiful sound. The frog and button are ebony with nickel mountings. The length of the stick is 73 cm and the weight of the bow is 61 g.
