A fine French violin bow made by Nicolas Maline ca. 1845. The stick is red-brown snakewood, the frog is ebony with nickel-silver mountings, the button is ebony with two nickel-silver rings. This is a fine sounding and handling bow in a good state of preservation. The length of the stick is 72.8 cm and the weight of the bow is 60 g. The bow is certified by Isaac Salchow in New York.
