French violoncello bow made by J.J. Martin. 1870
A very fine French cello bow made by J.J. Martin ca. 1870. The stick is excellent pernambuco, round in shape. The frog and button are ebony with silver mountings. The length of the stick is 68.8 cm and the weight of the bow is 78 g. This is a wonderful, strong bow with a very special, soloist level sound and handling. It is in excellent state of preservation.
