French cello bow by Georges Frederic Schwartz, ca. 1835
A rare, superb French cello bow made by Georges Frederic Schwartz. This is a masterpiece from classical old French master. The bow is all original in pristine state of preservation. The stick is dark red brown pernambuco of superior choice. The frog and button are ebony with silver mountings. The length of the stick is 69.8 cm and the weight of the bow is 79 g.This strong concert level example is highly recommended to a soloist or a collector.
