French cello bow by Louis Bazin, ca. 1925
A very fine French cello bow made by Louis Bazin ca. 1920-1925, branded “LOUIS BAZIN” on the stick above the frog. This is a wonderful example, the best that we know in exceptional state of preservation, suitable and recommended for a very fine musician or a collector. The stick is dark brown pernambuco, round, strong with excellent balance, very fine handling and outstanding sound. The frog and button are ebony with silver mountings. The weight is 79 g and the length of the stick is 70.1 cm.
