A very fine French violin bow made by Jean Joseph Martin ca. 1870. This is a nice example, fine sounding and handling bow in a very good state of preservation with some natural wear from playing. The stick is excellent choice of red brown pernambuco, octagonal in shape. The frog and button are ebony with silver mountings made in the style of Vuillaume model. The length of the stick is 72.8 cm and the weight of the bow is 60 g.
