German cello bow by Franz Albert Nurnberger Jr, ca. 1910
A very fine German cello bow made ca. 1910 by Franz Albert Nurnberger Jr, branded with the maker’s brand on the stick above the frog. This is excellent playing bow and one of the beautiful examples in a very good state of preservation. The stick is red brown pernambuco, round, strong with some flexibility, fine handling and a real beautiful sound. The length of the stick is 69.9 cm and the weight of the bow is 77.5 g.
