German violin bow made by Carl Heinrich Knopf ca.1870.

A very fine German violin bow made by Carl Heinrich Knopf ca.1870, branded “DODD” on the stick and frog. The stick is excellent dark red brown pernambuco, the frog and button are ebony with silver mountings. The length of the stick is 72.6, the weight of the bow is 59 g. This is a wonderful example and outstanding playing bow, suitable for very fine musician.
