French cello bow made by Joseph Alfred Lamy, ca. 1900

A very fine old French cello bow made by Joseph Alfred Lamy Pere, ca. 1900. The stick is dark red brown pernambuco, octagonal in shape. The frog and button are ebony with silver mountings. This is a strong, well balanced and excellent sounding cello bow. It is in very fine state of preservation. The length of the stick is 69 cm and the weight of the bow is 78 g.
