French violin bow by Marie-Louis Piernot, ca. 1930

A fine French violin bow made by Marie-Louis Piernot ca. 1930 in Paris. It is a nice example from this fine maker who was originally a pupil of C.N. Bazin and mastered his skills with Joseph Arthur Vigneron Pere in Paris. This excellent bow is quite strong and sensitive with high level sound and wonderful handling. The length of the stick is 72.9 cm and the weight of the bow is 58.5 g. The bow is in a fine state of preservation.
