Italian cello by Lorenzo & Tomaso Carcassi ca. 1770
A very fine Italian cello made by Lorenzo & Tomaso Carcassi in Florence, ca 1770. This is an excellent example in near perfect condition with about 95% of the original varnish still retained. The head is 19th century, probably French. The instrument is a smaller size (7/8), however, it is a first class sounding concert cello.
Certificates: Florian Leonhard Fine Violins, London.
