German violin bow made by Wilhelm Knopf. ca. 1890
A very fine old German violin bow made by Wilhelm Knopf ca. 1890. This is an excellent example in immaculate state of preservation made with an inspiration of the great Tourte model. The stick is superb reddish brown pernambuco, octagonal, strong with a very fine balance and a remarkable sound of great power and elegance. The length of the stick is 72.5 cm and the weight of the bow is 60 g.
