French violin bow by Auguste Lenoble, c. 1885.

A fine French violin bow made by Auguste Lenoble ca. 1885. This is a very nice example from French bow maker whose name is associated with Peccatte family. Lenoble trained young Charles Peccatte and went in partnership with Charles during 1874-1881. This particular example shows a lots of similarities with Charles Peccatte style of work.
The stick is red-brown pernambuco, round in shape, strong with a fine flexibility, good balance and excellent sound. The frog and button are ebony and silver. The length of the stick is 72.4 cm and the weight is 61 g.
This excellent playing bow is in a fine state of preservation with some natural wear from playing.
