French violin bow by Jean Pierre Marie Persoit, ca.1825

A rare, very fine French violin bow made in Paris by Jean Pierre Marie Persoit ca.1825. This is a remarkable example in a wonderful state of preservation. The stick is most beautifull red brown pernambuco, the frog and button are ebony and silver. This bow is strong, powerful and elegant, suitable and recommended for a soloist. The length of the stick is 72.2 cm and the weight of the bow is 61 g.
