French violin bow by Joseph Gaude, ca. 1840

A rare, very fine French violin bow by Joseph Gaude ca. 1840. Joseph Gaude was working with E. Pajeot, also in the style of his master. This is a fine example of Gaude work. It is in excellent state of preservation. This bow, been strong, has a fine flexibility, exceptional balance and a wonderful tonal quality, suitable for a soloist. The length of the stick is 73 cm and the weight of the bow is 59 g.
