A rare, very fine baroque Cramer model violin bow by John Dodd, c. 1780. The stick is finest choice of pernambuco with excellent figuration, round in shape, branded “DODD”. The original, elegant frog is bone, also branded “DODD”. The button is bone. This is a superb example and wonderful, solo level playing bow in rarely fine state of preservation. The length of the stick is 70 cm and the weight of the bow is 56 g. This bow is recommended to a finest musician or a demanding collector.
