English violin bow by James Tubbs, ca. 1880, rare Tourte inspired model.
A fine English violin bow made by James Tubbs ca. 1880 with an inspiration of a very elegant Tourte model. This is a wonderful example and excellent playing bow in a very good state of preservation. The stick is excellent medium brown permanbuco, the frog and button are ebony with gold mountings. This rare bow is highly recommended to a fine musician or a collector. The length of the stick is 72.8 cm and the weight of the bow is 59 g.
