French violin bow by Nicolas Maline, ca. 1855

A superb French violin bow made by Nicolas Maline ca. 1855. The stick is medium brown pernambuco, the frog is ebony with silver mountings, the button is ebony and silver. This is an outstanding, soloist level example in a remarkable state of preservation. The length of the stick is 72.3 cm and the weight of the bow is 59 g.
