French violin bow made by Nicolas Maline ca. 1860. This is a nice example and a fine sounding and handling bow from an important and highly regarded French bow maker. The stick is dark red brown pernambuco of excellent quality, the frog is ebony with nickel-silver mountings, the button is ebony with nickel-silver rings and cap. The bow is in a very good state of preservation, ready to play. The length of the stick is 73 cm and the weight of the bow is 60 g.
