French violin bow by Claude Thomassin, ca. 1890

A very fine French violin bow made by Claude Thomassin for the firm of Gand and Bernardel ca. 1890. This is a fine and very beautiful examples with a soloist level tonal quality and handling. The bow is in perfect state of preservation. The length of the stick is 72.8 cm and the weight of the bow is 61.5 g. This very interesting example will satisfy a collector or a demanding musician.
