A very fine French violin bow made by Emile August Ouchard ca. 1930 while he was working for his father, Emile Francois Ouchard. The model of the head is elegant and beautiful E.A. Ouchard interpretation of his father’s Tourte model and the stick is branded with E.F Ouchard “TOURTE” brand-stamp. The button is made by Charles Nicolas Bazin and not original to the stick. This is excellent example, also a superb sounding and handling violin bow. The stick is orange-brown pernambuco of excellent choice, octagonal, strong with a perfect flexibility, solo level sound and handling. This bow is in a fine state of preservation. It will be a great concert bow for a fine musician. The length of the stick is 72.8 cm and the weight of the bow is 59.5 g.
