French violin bow by J.J. Martin, ca. 1875

A very fine French violin bow made by Jean Joseph Martin ca. 1875, branded “stentor” on the stick above the frog. This is a nicely sounding and handling example in a very good state of preservation. The length of the stick is 72.8 cm and the weight of the bow is 60 g.
