French violin bow by Justin Poirson, ca.1900

A very fine French violin bow by Justin Poirson, ca.1900. This is excellent example in rarely pure state of preservation (unpolished with an original winding). The stick is red brown pernambuco, round, quite strong with excellent flexibility, wonderful tone and fine handling. This bow is in very fine state of preservation. The length of the stick is 73 cm and the weight of the bow is 56 g with very light tinsel winding. This wonderful bow has wonderful “silky” sound and general feeling typical for great French bows of 19th century. This bow will please a fine player or a demanding collector.
