French violin bow by Nicolas Maline, ca. 1865
A very fine French violin bow made by Nicolas Maline ca. 1865, branded on the stick above the frog. The stick is red-brown pernambuco, the frog is ebony with silver mountings, the button is ebony and silver. This is a superb example in excellent, all original collector’s condition, outstanding sound and handling. The bow is suitable for a soloist or a demanding collector.
