French violin bow by Nicolas Maline, ca. 1865
A very fine French violin bow made by Nicolas Maline ca. 1865, branded on the stick above the frog “MALINE”. The stick is red brown pernambuco, the frog is ebony with silver mountings, the button is ebony and silver. This is a superb example in mint, collector’s quality condition with an original winding and outstanding sound, suitable for a soloist.
