Very fine French violin by N.A.Chappuy, 1773
A fine French violin made by Nicolas Augustin Chappuy in 1773, as indicated on the original label. The violin is a rare quality, outstanding example of the maker's personal work. It is in mint condition. This instrument is excellent and impressive in every aspect, from the choice of materials, elegant model, arching, superb soft and transparent golden orange varnish to a wonderful, 1st class concert sound. The length over the back is 35.8 cm.
