French violin by Paul Bailly, ca.1890
A very fine French violin made by Paul Bailly ca.1890. Paul Bailly was a very talented violin maker, pupil of Jules Galliard and maker of instruments for J.B. Vuillaume. He made excellent instruments that are beautiful and possess fine tonal quality. This is a nice example in a superb state of preservation. It is made on Stradivari model. The length over the back is 35.6 cm.
