French violin by Paul Bailly, Paris, ca.1900
A very fine French violin made by Paul Bailly ca.1900 with an inspiration of Guarneri model. Paul Bailly was a very talented violin maker, pupil of Jules Galliard and a maker of instruments for J.B. Vuillaume. This instrument is in a very fine state of preservation. The length over the back is 35.9 cm. The violin has excellent tone that is rich, brilliant, even and of a very charming character.
