German violin bow made by Carl Heinrich Knopf ca.1870.

A very fine German certified violin bow made by Carl Henrich Knopf ca. 1870. Carl Heinrich Knopf was one of the greatest German bow makers. He made wonderful bows for important shops of Bausch family and and Nikolai Kittel. This is excellent example and fine playing bow in mint condition. The stick is dark brown pernambuco, round with a good balance and very beautiful sound. The length of the stick is 73 cm and the weight of the bow is 59.5 g. The frog and button are ebony with silver mountings in all original, unpolished condition. This excellent example can be a part of collection or a wonderful playing bow for a fine musician.
