German violin bow made by Johann Wilhelm Knopf. ca. 1860

A very fine German violin bow made by Johann Wilhelm Knopf ca. 1860 for the Bausch firm. This is a wonderful example made with an inspiration of Tourte model. The stick is dark brown pernambuco of superior choice and beautiful figuration, round, strong with a perfect flexibility, fine balance and a first class sound. The length of the stick is 72.6 cm and the weight of the bow is 61 g. This bow is recommended as outstanding, high level example that is suitable for a solo performer.
