Italian viola by Carletti, 1941

A fine Italian viola made by Natale Carletti in 1941 in Pieve di Cento, Italy. Born in 1904. Natale was a pupil of his father, Carlo Carletti. In 1941 (when his father passed away) Natale Carletti took over the father’s shop. In 1949 he won a gold medal at Cremona competition. This wonderful viola is labeled with Carlo Carletti original label signed by Natale, also it is signed and dated inside on the table. It was definitely made with Carlo Carletti influence. The model and varnish, scroll and many other details are so close to the father’s work. It is in fine condition. Powerful instrument with a sound of remarkable quality. The length over the back is 42.0 cm.
