Italian violin by Gaetano Gadda, 1951
A very fine Italian violin made by Gaetano Gadda of Mantua in 1951, as indicated on original label. This is a fine and characteristic example from the most important pupil of Stefano Scarampella. The work of Gaetano Gadda is highly regarded as the best of the school after his master. This is a beautiful example, branded and signed in multiple places. The sound of this instrument is excellent, combining power, balance and a very fine character. The L.O.B. is 35.7 cm. This violin is in excellent condition with a lovely natural wear. Highly recommended for a fine professional musician.
