French violin bow by Andre Richaume, ca. 1950
A very fine French violin bow made by Andre Richaume ca. 1950. The stick is red brown pernambuco, octagonal, branded “A. RICHAUME A PARIS”, 73 cm long. The weight of the bow is 60 g. The frog is ebony with silver mountings and inlaid “Parisian” eyes. The button is ebony with silver cap. This is excellent example in a very good state of preservation, also a superb playing bow. We highly appreciate bows made by this wonderful maker and recommended this particular example to a fine musician.
