French bow by Andre Richaume, ca. 1950
A very fine French violin bow made by Andre Richaume ca. 1950. The stick is red brown pernambuco of excellent quality, octagonal, branded “A. RICHAUME A PARIS”, 73 cm long and the weight of the bow is 61.5 g. The frog is ebony with silver mountings and inlaid “Parisian” eyes. The button is ebony with silver cap. This is a wonderful example in excellent state of preservation, also a wonderful playing bow. Highly recommended to a collector or a very fine musician.
