A rare old Italian viola made by Bartolomeo Bimbi in Florence in 1793, as indicated on the label. This is a wonderful, solo level instrument with a charming, very beautiful voice. Despite a smaller 15 inch length over the back it is built with taller ribs and excellent arching, making the sound powerful, vibrant with full spectrum of beautiful colors.
