German cello bow by L. Bausch Jr, ca.1860.
A very fine German cello bow made by Karl Friedrich Ludwig Bausch Jr, ca. 1860. L. Bausch Jr. was excellent German bow maker. We have been fortunate to acquire several examples. This is typical example, personal beautiful model. The stick is orange brown pernambuco, branded “L BAUSCH”, silver mounted frog, the button is ebony with two silver rings. Perfect condition. The length of the stick is 70 cm and the weight of the bow is 80 g.
