French cello bow by Jean-Dominique Adam ca. 1840.

A rare French cello bow made by Jean-Dominique Adam (propably with some assistance of his son Jean “Grand” Adam) ca. 1840. This remarkable bow is in excellent state of preservation. The stick is golden brown pernambuco of superior choice and beautiful figuration, round: the frog and button are ebony with silver mountings. This superb playing cello bow is suitable for a finest performer or a collector. The length of the stick is 69.8 cm and the weight of the bow is 79 g.
