A rare French violin bow made by Nicolas Leonard Tourte, c. 1795. This is a very interesting, fine and elegant example from this celebrated master’s mature period of the work. The stick is dark red brown pernambuco, frog and button are ebony with silver mountings. The length of the stick is 73.4 cm and the weight of the bow is 59 g. The bow comes with an additional nice frog and button made in correct style. The bow is accompanied with certificate of authenticity by Bernard Millant.
